The Project

Frog Capital employed Inhabit’s carbon measurement services to enhance measurement accuracy of emissions for reporting to the board and LPs. The driver for this reporting was to consider the complexities of value chain emissions and ESG reporting across their portfolio. Frog Capital utilised Inhabit’s platform to input data that would inform the carbon measurement, aided by the ongoing and responsive support from the Inhabit team. Frog Capital now updates the platform on a quarterly basis to improve the accuracy of their measurement over time and present updated carbon emissions to the board.

Impact

With the updated carbon measurement in hand, Frog Capital now reports and updates emissions to the board on a quarterly basis and can provide this crucial data to Limited Partners (LPs). This demonstrates transparency and accountability in their environmental performance.

By providing clear carbon emissions data, Frog Capital has been successful in meeting the increasing demands from public sector LPs for ESG information, which has become pivotal for fundraising. The proactive approach undertaken by Frog Capital has strengthened relationships with key stakeholders, by demonstrating ownership of its environmental impact

Next Steps

‍

Frog Capital is considering the development of a net-zero strategy, to maintain industry leadership and continue to address the demands for information in fundraising. Inhabit will provide guidance and support on net-zero strategies and portfolio-level emissions management. Frog Capital aims to address value chain emissions, alongside enhancing its ability to support its portfolio companies in their ESG and emissions reporting.
